Baking for Royalty: Juliet Sear’s showstopping chocolate cake
Juliet Sear made an impressive Chocolate Truffle Cake to celebrate Prince William’s 20th anniversary as patron of the homeless charity Centrepoint. Knowing the Prince’s well-documented love of chocolate, Juliet created this towering, three-tiered, 30kg chocolate cake using Guittard’s Coucher Du Soleil 72% Cacao for a rich, deeply chocolatey finish.
The spectacular bake took four days to make and assemble, resulting in an unforgettable centrepiece to celebrate the milestone occasion.

A beautifully written article by @fionasfunkyfood
Inspired by a Guittard Chocolate event, baker and writer Fiona experimented with new flavour pairings using Guittard’s Choc-Au-Lait White Baking Chips. Her curiosity led to the unexpected creation of her Carrot & Fennel Jam Cookies. They balance the earthy sweetness of the carrot with subtle herbal notes of fennel, enhanced by the creamy, buttery richness of Guittard’s white chocolate. Rooted in contrast and craft, this recipe showcases vegetable-forward baking meeting artisan chocolate, a delicious direction we hope to see more of in 2026.
